The Ingram Collection supports Starburst Arts

The Ingram Collection recently purchased 6 works from Starburst Arts.

Starburst Arts is a visual and performing arts based initiative for adults with learning difficulties, based at the Wrenford Centre in Chichester but also work in and around Chichester, working in partnership with other arts organisations.
Starburst Arts work in all areas of the visual and performing arts, painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture/pottery, film & photography, textiles, drama and dance; they also work in the sensory area of all these art forms.
All the pieces bought by Chris Ingram were created using an iPad. The participants use the brushes programme and usually build up their work in layers. They are able to navigate their way around the iPads and to find and bring up the brushes programme; they can, with guidance, change the colours they use for themselves and also change the type of marks they make. They chose the subject/s for their work themselves. They can use the iPads, and other computers to research ideas for work they might like to do. They can, also with guidance, publish or print their pictures for themselves.
